1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for the ZIHRM Marathon, participants agree to abide by all terms, rules, and guidelines set by the event organizers. These Terms & Conditions apply to all race categories.

2. Eligibility

    • Participants must meet the minimum age requirements for their selected race category.
  • Minors must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Participants must be physically fit and medically cleared to take part in the event.

3. Registration

  • Registration is only confirmed upon successful payment and receipt of a confirmation email.
  • Registration fees are non‑refundable and non‑transferable, except where explicitly stated by the organizers.
  • Participants must provide accurate personal information during registration.

4. Race Pack Collection

  • Participants must collect their race packs during the designated collection period.
  • A valid ID or confirmation email may be required.
  • Uncollected race packs will not be mailed or refunded.

5. Health & Safety

  • Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to run.
  • The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant who appears unwell or unable to continue safely.
  • Medical support will be available on the course and at the finish area.

6. Event Rules

  • Participants must follow the instructions of race officials, marshals, and security personnel.
  • Unauthorized bicycles, pets, rollerblades, or motorized devices are not permitted on the course.
  • Tampering with race timing devices or bib numbers is prohibited.
  • Participants must complete the race within the designated cut‑off times.

7. Liability

  • The organizers, sponsors, and partners are not liable for injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during the event.
  • Participants acknowledge that running events involve inherent risks, including injury, dehydration, and fatigue.

8. Event Changes & Cancellation

  • The organizers reserve the right to modify the route, schedule, or event format if necessary for safety or operational reasons.
  • In the event of extreme weather, emergencies, or circumstances beyond the organizers’ control, the event may be postponed or cancelled.
  • Refunds will not be issued in cases of cancellation due to force majeure.

9. Photography & Media

  • By participating, runners grant the organizers permission to use event photos, videos, and recordings for promotional and marketing purposes.
  • Participants may not claim compensation for the use of their image.

10. Personal Data

  • Participant information may be used for event administration, safety, and communication.
  • Data will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

11. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to:

  • Show respect to fellow runners, volunteers, and officials
  • Maintain sportsmanship and integrity
  • Avoid any behavior that may endanger others or disrupt the event

12. Disqualification

The organizers may disqualify participants for:

  • Cheating or course cutting
  • Using another person’s bib
  • Violating event rules or safety instructions
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct

13. Agreement

By completing registration, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions
